There are hundreds of F. Browns who emigrated to Australia - do you have any more information. Would he have been with his parents, and do you know their names please. Do you know where they lived in England,
Thanks,
Liz

Hi,
the information added by Ginny is correct and as far as I know he went on his own and I believe that he joined the Military in Australia as he sent my grandmother his sister Harriet some silk cards with different regiment symbols on them.

Sorry - but can find nothing definite about Frederick's emigration. It may help if you amend your heading to include "Australia", this may attract members there to look.

I have had a quick look in www.naa.gov.au - check the online WW1 records:
I can't find Frederick C A Brown b. Camberwell!
Can you tell me what county Camberwell is in?
Have you checked the NSW bmd's online as well?
I just assumed NSW but reading your messages again....which State did he immigrate to?
Look at the cards.....type in regiment into google will probably come up with something else to help.

I have just done a little more research and have found his name is Frederick Charles A and was born Sept Quarter of 1888 not 1890 as I was lead to believe.
