Got a great lead on here with John George Brown (c1861 South Shields) a few nights ago and thought i was flying until i came across what i think is him in the 1881 Census, which states that he is a soldier in the 95th Regiment at Aldershot South Camp, and so i cannot find details of his parents. Tried the 1871 Census, but there are just too many possibilites for John Brown. |

You could also look at the service records on Findmypast. If his records have survived they will be on there. They may give next of kin details. |
