Hi i am trying to find out who James Brown married and when he died
James Brown was born about 1798 at Tetsworth Oxfordshire the son of Thomas Brown and Elizabeth Copper.
I have found a James Brown born 1796 at Oxfordshire on the 1871 census but not sure if that is my James Brown ref is RG 10 Piece1430 Folio73 Page 5
I have also found a James Brown born 1796 at Tetsworth Oxfordshire on the 1861 census
ref RG 09 Piece886 Folio69 Page5 still not sure if this is my James Brown
The only other thing that i know about James Brown is that he had a son Thomas Brown who on the 1st of March 1848 at Oxford was sentenced to seven years and he was transported to Van Diemans Land and he arrived in 1850 I have been trying to find James and Thomas on the 1841 census but so far no joy Please can you help. Your best bet would be to purchase a birth certificate of one of the younger children..... the following could be Susan's birth registration

Births Sep 1841
Brown Susan Thame 16 105

Tetsworth is in the registration district of Thame

EDIT There are a few Susan's or Susannah's born in Thame district around that time so can't be certain that this is your Susan

Perhaps this one for son Richard might be better?

Births Dec 1844
BROWN Richard Thame 16 104
