Member Since: January 2006 Posts: 0 Send Message	Brown / Broun: Seeking ancestor/family information on George Brown (b. c1775) and wife Isabella Spear (1777-1847) believed to be of Purvisburgh (Purveshaugh?) Earlston, Berwickshire. George and Isabella Brown had at least four children; George (1796-1881), Elizabeth, Agnes & Adam (1799-1881). Son George married (c1817) Janet McDougall (1798-1869) and emigrated to Leeds County, Ontario, Canada c1834. They had children; Ann (1818-1904), Isabella (1822-1873), Jane (1824-c1900) & George (1831-1878). Daughter Ann married John Haig (1796-1880).
