John Brown b.1838 South Kilvington,Nr Thirsk,North Yorkshire. married to Jane ..... ? b.1839 South Otterington,North Yorkshire. Children were- James Brown b.1858 William Brown b.1860 ( my GG grandfather ) Alice Brown b.1862 Emily Brown b.1864 Ellen Brown b.1867 Agnes Brown b.1870 Sarah Brown b.1872 Robert Brown b.1875 Herbert Brown b.1877 All born in South Otterington and Romanby,Northallerton,North Yorkshire. Included on the 1871 census the family had two boarders living with them- James Burn b.1844 Scotland Alexander Christie b.1849 Scotland I understand that there maybe a Scottish connection to the family,were the two boarders relations?.
