Wm or William Brown is my great grandfather, according to my grandmother's wedding and babtism certificates. He married a Tilly (name unknown), and they had a daughter in August 1908. William was a pleader at the Rawalpindi court, and died either during his wife's pregnancy or shortly after his daughter's birth. This is all we know of him. We don't know if he was born in British India or England. Neither do we know his wife's maiden name. We know she married a Mr. Cowmeadow, who did not want the child of the first married (and gran was dumped in an orphanage) and had four more children: only two lived to see adulthood: Sydney and Eric. Could anyone help my trace the details of my great grandfather and great grandmother. I'd also like to find out what happened to Sydney and Eric Cowmeadow. |
