BROWN Hi Everyone. I'm trying to trace my dad's side of the family. I've had some luck with names but I'd like to find some living relatives if there are any. My Grandfather - Thomas Wilford Brown b-9/8/1894 in Middlesbrough - died when my dad was only 7 months old, so he doesn't know anything at all from that side of his family. Except what I've found out. Here's what I know. Thomas Wilford Brown was 1 of 8 children, that I'm aware of. Ellen Allan Brown c1880 Durham, Stockton William Brown c1882 Durham, Stockton John Brown c1884 Yorks, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough Elizabeth Brown c1887 Yorks, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough Mary Ellen Brown c1889 Yorks, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough Millicent Isabella Brown c1891 Yorks, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough Alice Maud Brown c1898 Yorks, Middlesbrough Ellen Allan Brown married George Henry Scott in 1903 I would like to hope that some of these siblings survived to adulthood and had families of their own. Their children would be my dad's cousins, something that he's never had. If any of these names ring any bells please contact me. Thomas Wilford Brown's parents names were Thomas Allison Brown c1852 Yorks, Brompton Elizabeth Ann Allan c1857 Yorks, Middlesbrough Thomas Allison Brown siblings were William Brown c1939 John Wilford Brown c1842 Honour Wilford Brown c1844 - 1849 Mary Allison Brown c1847 Yorks, Brompton Christopher Brown c1849 Yorks, Brompton Mary Allison Brown married William Davies They had a son Ernest Calvert Davies, I have now located living relatives, Mary's great-grandson, through this line. MY FIRST !! Christopher Brown married Sarah Stainton They had 8 children that I'm aware of. Honor Wilford Brown c1873 Durham, Stockton Henry Allison Brown c1874 Durhan, Stockton Walter Gransby Brown c1876 Durham, Stockton Cordelia Brown c1878 Durhan, Stockton Caroline Brown c1880 Durham, Stockton James Calvert Brown c1885 Durham, Stockton Edith Annie Brown c1887 Durham, Stockton George Frederick Brown c1890 Durham, Stockton Their parents were John Brown c1812 Brompton, Yorkshire Isabella Calvert c1812 Yorks, Northallerton If anyone knows of BROWNS from the Middlesbrough, Durham, Stockton, Brompton area then there may be a connection. I would love to hear from you. If anyone knows the whereabouts or has any information on a Vincent Brown born July 1927 in Middlesbrough (my dad's brother) I would love to hear from you. We haven't heard from him since 1979, when we last visited England. (We are in Australia) We're not even sure if he's still alive, so if you know anything at all it would be greatly appreciated. Hoping someone out there is related !! Annette :-) |
