Please can you help? I am looking for information on EDITH EMILY BROWN, who was born on 7th July 1907 in ABERTILLERY, Monmouthshire, (the Welsh Valleys.) Edith emigrated to New South Wales in Australia, in the mid forties or fifties, we thnk her married name might be NAPIER though this is not confirmed. Edith was one of nine children and the family were split up after their mother EDITH EMILY HOARE left the marital home and their father ROBERT BROWN died in 1915. We know that Edith went to live with the Price' family and Edgar went to live with Cetawayo Brown and his family while the older boys found lodgings locally with girl friends. The other children were 1. Olive died as child 2. Robert Brown 3. Bertram killed in action 1914 war 4. Baydon Powell Brown 5. Evelyn brown 6. Wlliam Brown 7. Edith Emily 8. Edgar Brown (my father) 9. Doris Brown Edith and Evelyn came to Blackwood Wales in 1962/63 to visit Edgar and I met them both., however we never heard from them again. I would love to know more about their families and have many family names to share with their descendants. If you can help please contact me Joyce Morgan nee BROWN |
