Trying to find my grandparents:- the parents of Valentine;- Eliza Brown(nee Jones) & James Brown. Valentine was b.14.02.1905 in Kidderminster Workhouse Infirmary (not as an Inmate) and was fostered at about 3 yrs old to a family named Tyers from Kidderminster. I have info on Tyers family who moved to Birmingham c.1920's who Valentine lived with until his marriage to Laura Eade on 26.12.1927.
James is shown as a Miner on Val's B. Cert.but I have not been able to find any other firm references to either James or Eliza, not even a marriage certificate. They would probably have been born c .1880/5 in the area of Kidderminster. Any info whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Anne thanks for the info on Valentine Brown. I have the info already re 1911 Census and also a fairly good history on the adoptive family Tyers. There is an error on the Census form with Valentine shown as F when he is obviously M, a point I admit to having not noticed before !
I had not considered the Brown/Jones marriage as being in Lancaster as Val's birth certificate shows them as being from Kidderminster, but it is a point I will follow up.
Thanks again
Alan
