Trying to trace my Burke side of the family, I believe some emigrated to Australia. Johanna born 1862, William born 1864, Hanora born 1866, Mary 1867, Andrew born 1869,Catherine 1874, Patrick & Ellen no date of birth known. All were born in Co Kerry Ireland to John Burke & Ellen Sullivan. From local information available I believe Andrew Burke was known as the 'poormans friend' when he died in Australia, a newspaper cutting was sent back to the family home in Co Kerry. Unfortunately I don't know which part of Australia.I would love to hear from anybody who has any info. Unfortunately the people who may know the answers have passed on. I should have paid more attention to the stories as a child.
