Hi, I'm trying to find information about my g. grandfather. His name is Angus Cameron. Married Catherine Finlay (Born in Dublin) on 19th November 1890 in Cork. Angus died on 22/9/1925 but I can't find his birth details. On the 1901 census he is 37 (so born around 1864) and it says he was born in 'chatam, england'. He was also a Royal Rifle reserve in 1901. His father's name is Alexander Cameron and he was a soldier. Mother's name was Mary Reilly. Angus and Catherine had six children: Alexander (born in england around 1892; Angus born 14/12/1892; Gilbert born around 1895; Duncan; John born 14/1/1901 who lived at 61 lambhill street, Glasgow in 1947 when he registered his mother's death; and Lily born 28/8/1905 Married Joseph McGinty on 30/6/1926 and died 24/2/1938 - my Grandmother. They lived in Glasgow from 1901 onwards. Any help in tracing back further would be much appreciated. Also any distant relatives pls get in touch. |
