My name is elaine cameron,my father was born in glasgow in 1922. He was 1 of six or seven children,mother died in childbirth. He had a brother James Thornton,Alex the oldest,3sisters Jenny,Georgina(ina),can't remember the other,they all had a hard life,Father remarried. At 1 point they lived in a castle.we are supposed to have our own ancestral home, I think we are part of the lochiel clan but I'm not sure,William my father left to join the royal navy and did his training at Rosythe.met my mother Olive Wilson in London,Ina married someone called Robert Wilson and lived in colchester. William and Ina died 3 months apart in 1998. Uncle Jim died 18 years ago. Don't know any of our scottish relatives, but am immensely proud to have scottish/english heritage. |
