Cameron: Seeking ancestral information for Alexander Cameron (c1787-1859), born at Abernethy, Invernesshire, son of Agnus Cameron & Janet Ross. Alexander Cameron served (Color Sgt.) with 103rd Regiment of Foot, War of 1812-1814, Niagara Frontier, arriving in Canada 1812. Also briefly with the Glengarry Light Infantry. Married Margaret Grant. Received military service land grant at Bathurst Twp., Conc-5/Lot-12(SW), Lanark County, Ontario, in 1818. Fathered; Ewen (1818-1911), John (b.c1820), James (b.c1822), Isabella (1824-1864), Alexander (1826-1896), Robert (1828-1904), Catherine (1830-1906), William (1833-1911), John (b.1837). Alexander Cameron died at Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 1859.
