This is a huge long shot - I'm trying to trace my mother's father - it is possible that his name was Robert Cameron. My mother [ Jennifer Margaret Littlewood ] was born out of wedlock as a war baby in 1943. Her mother was called Bertha Littlewood. My mum's father wasn't named on her birth certificate. The only thing my mother remembers is a handkerchief or a piece of linen with the name Robert Cameron on it at her grandmother's house. Apparently my mother [ who has Yorkshire and Lancashire family connections ] was told her father was an Army officer. Does anyone have any knowledge. Any info will be treated in strictest confidence. |
