I am trying to find information concerning William Carter (possible middle name Charles) born about 1829 in Devon. He was a widdower when he was married in London to Cecelia Galloway (or Calloway ) and died before 1894 when he was a publican. His father was a farmer called Jonathan.

Did your William Carter have any connection with Launton, Bicester, I am stuck with my William Carter whose family werre originally thatchers then became publicans in the area?
