Hello there, I'm trying to find information on William Percival Carter, born in 1887, married (yet to find out to whom), widowed, then remarried in 1927 to my grandmother Doris Roberts. At the time of their marriage Willliam was living at 'Haytor', Humberstone Drive, Scraptoft, Leicester. Doris had 2 children by her previous marriage, obtained a divorce and married William. Doris's youngest child, Malcolm Leslie, was my father. I knew William as 'Uncle Bill', rather than Grandad, as he was my father's stepfather. I didn't know until recently about his previous marriage, and wonder if anyone has information about his relatives. Many thanks. Glynis Fletcher |
