He immigrated to Australia in 1852 with his parents James and Ann and a number of his brothers and sisters. He married Catherine Seling Lees in 1873 and disappeared when she died. Family rumor has it that he may have had another family in Perth or moved to China. I am also interested in information on his ancestors. Hi father James Carter and grandfather Joseph Carter who married Mary Deeper possibly of French heritage. If anyone can help I would love to hear from you. Tina
