Hi, I am trying to find information on my g-grandmothers husband. Her name was Emily Cross before she married her husband by the name of CARTER think they may have married between 1910 and 1920 and had daughters Lillian, Frances and Emily (my nan d.o.b.Dec 1924 born in Halifax and settled in Manchester/Wigan/Cheetham Hill area). I have recently been told this man (CARTER) played for Notts City or Notts county football team I am guessing between 1900 and 1920 not sure though. They may also have spent time on the canals and showed Shire horses in the Yorkshire/Lancashire area. Any info would be great. Thanks |
