I am trying to find any relations of my father John. He was born in Newcastle upon tyne in 1910. His father's name was John too. Both of my father;s parents died when he was young. He gave his aunt as the next of kin when he joined the army in 1933 her name was Agnes Penny and the address was 89 Janet street Byker Newcastle upon tyne. I have located her on the census for 1901 she was married to Robert Penny and they had a son also called Robert. The uncle's occupation is listed as a riviter he came from Scotland. My grandfather is listed as a riviter on my parent's marrage certificate. I am finding it very difficult to trace my grandparent's as my dad did not have a birth certificate. Any help would be really appreciated. Julia Waring |
