I am looking for any information about Ralph Carter (b. 1869) and his wife Winifred Carter (b.1869) in Clayton-le-Moors, Accrington, Lancashire. They had 4 children, Thomas (b.1893), John (b.1897), Joseph (b.1900) and Margaret (b. circa 1902). In the 1901 census they were living at 5 Arthur Street, Clayton-le-Moors and Ralph was employed as a general carter. I know that the children were orphaned at an early age and brought up by separate families. Thomas lived with a family at the Petre Arms and eventually married Edith Robinson. Joseph married a Dora. I have no information about Margaret and John. I think there is a connection with the Leming family living in the Church area. Regards Linda Any information would be great. |
