We have managed to find out that there were a couple of other children she had other than my father in law but all had different fathers. My father in law was born 20th March 1902 in Elgin and alleged father was a William Shanks but they were in the poor house when dad was about 3 yrs old |

We also know that she was bought up by her grandparents which would fit in with 1891 census. Her real father was killed in a fishing accident in 1901 the year before my father in law was born |

So IF Constance married, it would have been after 1902. |

She left Scotland about 1922 the other children were younger and they were born out of wedlock. All of the children stayed in Scotland with either guardians or foster parents. My father in law came down to London with the Scots Guards and married my mother in law in London and then moved up to Brandon in Suffolk where they had eleven children. 7 boys and 4 girls. |

No last anybody can find out is when she left Scotland and as far as we are concerned she was still known as Clark. I have had contact recently with someone from Scotland and he has come up against a brick wall after 1922. |
