I am trying to trace Joseph's marriage about 1851 to 1861 It may have been in the Middlesex or London area
Thanks Ron

A bit more info is needed, Ronald. There were 210 Joseph Clarks married between 1851 and 1861! 35 of those were in Wiltshire.

Any idea of his wife's christian name? Have you found him on any census with children? If so, when and where were they born?

Joseph appears on the 1851 census as a Draper staying as a visitor with a family called Hall in Putney London,he next appears on the 1871 as Joseph Clarkson in Yarcombe Somerset. It seems he has left his wife and changed his name. No mention of him in 1861 I do not know his 1st wife's name. He married Elizabeth Hyde 1901 2 weeks before died. On his marriage Cert he states he was a widower after living with Elizabeth Hyde from about 1868
