Hi,
i'm looking for any info on Janet Clarke.

I know she married Malcolm Mcmillan on Nov 2 1845, in Killarrow, Argyllshire.

He was born on apr 4 1822, and they had a son, Archibald Mcmillan born aug 25 1859.

Any xtra info on these people would be very grateful.

Hi Nigel,
On 1851 census Janet is described as 'seaman's wife', with one daughter, Marion (1), 'seaman's daughter'. Also living with them was Angus Brown, (7) lodger - scholar. By 1861 Janet is the Head of the family and has Marion(11), Malcolm (5) and twins Archibald and Flora (1). No mention of her husband, but it's one of the censuses that Ancestry hasn't been able to negotiate to copy in its entirety, they just give what information they can. He could have been at sea as he obviously was in 1851, but equally could have died by then. Hope this helps.
