Hi Looking for Info on My Great Grandfathers Parents

He (Thomas) was born in Crewe c1863 (as Per 1901 Census) and Married to Mary (not sure of Maiden Name) Record Number RG 13/3520 Page 48 of 18 Oldfield Street St Helens

Cant seem to find Thomas before this date therfore cant find his parents details - Additionaly if anyone could tell me what Mary's maiden name was i'd be extremely grateful

Any Help or advice would be apprecieted

May I suggest you apply for a childs birth cert that would be more helpful

That looks a distinct possibility because i can find no record of the marriage of Thomas and Mary in the 1891 census (just before they married)

I dont have any birth dates for their Children Kate (8), Mary (7), Elizabeth(3) (my GM) and Annie (11months) - all at 1901 census

Sorry if this is fundemental stuff but i'm very new to all this :-)

Prescot is the registration district for St Helens

Like i said i'm new to this i thought i needed the exact date (Birth, Wedding, Death) to obtain a certificate

Wouldthe next step be to obtain certificates of the possibles to check details ?
