Am looking for any info on the birth of my great grandfather James Clarke. He was shown in census records as a private in the Army in Stonehouse Barracks, Plymouth then a Royal Marine. He was born 1865 in Sark County, Ayrshire and later ran away from home. He married Eva Jane Luckham and lived in Devon. His father was William, a labourer. Perhaps the family originated from Ireland. |

Many thanks Jeanette. By a process of elimination I think James Allan Clark looks a good match as he is the only one whose father was named William. |
