Can anyone tell me the date Arthur Julius Clarke , my great grandfather was born, he was born in Southampton. His father was Julius Clarke born 1858 in Barbados and his mother was Catherine Mcarthur born 1858 and they lived in Southampton.

Arthur was born Clarke in 1891 I thought ? When did he marry Catherine ? as I have her name on the family tree as Mcarthur or was she married twice ?

She was married twice. This is her first marriage:-

Spouse is Robert Conjujan Best.

In the 1891 census she is married and Julius Clarke is a lodger. She then married Julius in 1896.

I can't see Arthur's birth anywhere on Ancestry.

This looks like Arthur's birth (middle name mis-transcribed and no "e" on the Clarke):-

Can anyone tell me where Julius clarkes b 1858 parents were born, his fathers name is Alexander Clarke born 1828 and I have no details on his mother ( but would love some if anyone finds anything ), I think they were born in Barbados or Jamaica, can anyone confirm the correct location please, if you come across Alexanders parents that would be a bonus,

All I have been told is that he lived in Barbados or Jamaica, there is a few stories that is was Jamaica, but thats all they are, we is son Arthur was born in Barbados but not sure if he was born their...
