3xg grandfather and 3xg grandmother Thomas Clarke and Mary ? from Devon. Their children were Mary C, Ann A, John C and Samuel Alward. Samuel came to Wales, from Devon at this point. Samuel Alward married Mary Mead.(2xg grandparents) Their childrens names were Clifton S.A. Frank F.M., Carl C.C., Florence M.L., Lilian F.A. and Esmond C.Clarke. My grandfather. Esmond C Clarke married Mabel Charlotte Darby Reynolds (she came from Rotherhithe) there were my grandparents. Their children were as follows. Esmond C , Daisy, Claudius Aris, Leah Blodwen Gladys, Gerald J, Frank C., Gwenllian M, Clifton Samuel Allward, Nancy Irene Florence (these last three all died in infancy) and lastly my father Carl Frank Henry Clarke.
