Trying to find Clarke

I am trying to find out more about Robert Clarke who married Anne Swindale, my Gt grandmother, on 12 April 1862 at the Parish Church of St. John, Newcastle-on-Tyne. His father, also Robert, a teacher, was witness at the marriage. I have no idea how old Robert was at the time of his marriage or where he was living; marriage lines simply states of full age and living in the parish. It would appear that Robert died within 4 years of marrying, as my Gt grandmother, a young widow, aged 24 and living in Witton-le-Wear, remarried in Darlington 1866. If anyone can help with information about either Robert Clarke's I would be very grateful. Gill Wilson |
