Clarke, William Hamilton, sisters Alice,(Had a daughter, Nellie Parkhill) Minnie, Eveline, and, possibly, Edith & Elizabeth,He died circa 1950,was married to Ellen/Elanor/Nell Anderson, had eight daughters & one son, my father, William Jesse Clarke. I think William Snr's mothers family were Hamiltons, and he grew up in Dublin, Chapel Izod/Lucan. His Father was reputed to have been a County Surveyor, and family rumour suggests a Freedom of the City of Lincoln was awarded to him(or possibly to HIS father!) William Snr lived ,at various times, in Euston St,Woodlee St.,& Dromore St., all in BElfast. After WW1 he worked as a groom in the Belfast Co-op stables Hoping some of this might ring a bell for someone, Regards Coral(& Tammie) |
