Trying to find Clarke

We are trying to trace our Grandfather's roots. Robert James Clarke born in the workhouse, Magherafelt, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland 1887 to Mary Anne Hamilton born around 1860 possibly in the Ballydonnell area. His fathers name was Robert Clarke. As a young lad my grandfather was rented out to local farms as a child labourer and we believe he left Ireland for Scotland in his teens. He settled in Dumbarton, married and started a family and then moved to Cardross where he spent the rest of his days. We would greatly appreciate any relevant information from anyone concerning this person.
