I am attemtping to trace any Family linked to my Grandfather - Lewis John Collins. He was born in Great Britiain - whereabouts unknown. He apparently did marry for the frst time whilst serving in the British forces and a son Lionel, who lived in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) from that marriage. He was later posted to South Africa where he remarried a Belgian lady Bertha Florence Horton, who had apparently been married previously. Lewis died in South Africa. As youngsters there was talk of Lewis's father or grand father having been Lord Mayor of .. London? Never been able to verify. Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated. |
