Fred Cook married Gertie Irene Patchett in 1935 in Oldham
They had a son Geoffrey born in 1944.
I have recentley found out Gertie was my dads half sister so would love to find out more about the Cooks
I have found 2 births for Fred 1911 in Oldham and 1912 in Ashton. under Lyne. Both places are close together.
If anyone knows more I would be so pleased to hear

If you get the marriage certificate it will have the name of Fred's father, which could help for searching the 1911 census, or for getting the birth certificates.

the 1912 one died in 1913 so yours must be 1911..

oh dear hoping it was not that one as can't find any note Fred fro Oldham in 1911 census.
As for Geoffrey could be married anywhere o/s of Oldham

Just found a fred cook born 1912 ashton under lynn who got married in 1929 in ashton under lynn to martha ann batters ( familysearch .org )

Gertie Irene Cook born 12/7/1910 died 1995 Oldham.

They married in Midleton 1935.

This looks to be in with a chance and someone on here has frederick 1908 in their tree.
