Hello, Am trying to find any information about my grandfather a very mysterious man, his name was REGINALD LAWRENCE REUBEN COOK. He was born 18th June 1910 in Leiston Suffolk... though he had always told everyone he was born in Tottenham, London. He had a family in Suffolk during WW2 who I believe came from North Cove, who if anyone knows of them I would love to hear from them, I do have names for his first family but can only mention his son Peter who died during WW2 from Measles! He was in the Navy, but we do not entirely know as what. He ran off from Suffolk with my Nan, which is when he decided to start using the name SMITH as a surname, they moved to the Midlands. He claimed his family through his mother (Only known as Effie Cook) were gypsys, but again we don't know the truth. Any help on anything to do with him would be great. Thanks |
