I have 3 generations of William Frederick Cooper in my tree with very little information about the earliest. I also have very little infomation about other related Coopers

1. The youngest William Frederick was born in 1882 in Salisbury and married Florence Launders in Leicester. In the early 1900s he was an auctioneer in Ipswich and both his sons were born in Ipswich.

2. The previous William Frederick Cooper was born in Norwich in 1852. He married Esther Hill in Worcester in 1877. His occupation is listed variously as tin plate worker. lamp repairer and gas fitter. Their children were Nellie, Mary, Bertie, Charles, George, Gertrude, Jessie and Kathleen. They were born in Worcester, Walsall, Longton and Leicester. I also believe George lived in Shrewsbury Road, Nottingham in 1936.

3. The 1877 marriage certificate (William and Esther) says that William Frederick's father was also called William Frederick, he was a carpenter and was deceased. I have no other information about him.

I'd be grateful if anyone has any clues at all about any possible links.

Many thanks

Kim

Hi there,
My gt gt grandad was a William Cooper born Longton in1823,I got back that far with free cencus look ups and lots of help from a web site called www.Rootschat.com,have you heard of it?What connections does your Coopers have with Longton? My William later went to work in Hull.My grandad had the middle name Frederick so that could have been passed down as it seemed to be the tradition.
Not really any definate connections ,maybe if you could get back further with Rootschat and see where your family was at the time my gt gt grandad William was born.Hope this is of some interest.
regards K. Cooper
