Looking for any info on a David Cooper(maybe from York) his wifes name Annie Cathleen Cooper(nee Dickinson) They had children probably around 1910, Annie,cyril,harold and possibly one more. Any info greatly appriciated, thanks.

Sorry about duplicating things but i am still trying to get to grips with the whole thing. I will try to delete one of those threads now. The only other info I have is that Annie died in 1956 at the grand old age of 84. Sorry again.

The process for searching without paying is a bit tricky, so I'll give you the results.

COOPER ANNIE 1871 40 Tadcaster Yorkshire West Riding
COOPER DAVID 1876 35 Tadcaster Yorkshire West Riding
COOPER HAROLD 1906 5 Tadcaster Yorkshire West Riding
COOPER ALBERT 1908 3 Tadcaster Yorkshire West Riding
COOPER CYRIL 1910 8 MONTHS Tadcaster Yorkshire West Riding


Now, to get David's and Annie's fathers' names, you need to order the certificate for the marriage given above, at

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

That way, you can look for them in the censuses to get more info going backward, and be sure you have the right people, by the fathers' names.

To find children born after 1911, you can search at FreeBMD:

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

for births after 1911 with surname Cooper and mother Dickinson.

This is the only birth in Tadcaster district:

Births Dec 1912
Cooper Kathleen A (Dickinson) Tadcaster 9c 1966

I have tried to order online the marriage certificate for Annie Dickinson and David Cooper but am having problems as i only know the wedding was in December 1904 and dont know which day in December. How do i get round this?
