Trying to trace someone in the Army in 1901 Census

I am trying to trace where my Grandfather Harold A. Cooper was at the time of the 1901 census. I know that he was in the army, but don't know what regiment, but could have been based in Aldershott. Someone a fair while ago said that I would need to know the name of his barracks, |

Harold Athelstan Cooper born January 1884 Little Snoring, Norfolk and living there in the 1891 census. I do know that he lied about his age to join the army, which he did at 14 and was a full sargeant by the time he was 16. His family hated it and bought him out. I do know that he did serve in Jersey, and I do have a picture of him wearing fairly ceremonial outfit and what could be described as a little swagger stick, like a drill sargeant would carry. He loved the army and would have made it his life. He rejoined for the full duration of 1914 - 18, going through all the major battles but nearly died of the flu whilst serving with the Occupation Army in Germany in 1919. |
