Raymond COOPER b.1921 place unknown, he married Evelyn WRATHMALL b. 1917 of Sunderland, they married at The Parish Church of St. Wilfred, Leed North on 26th Feb 1944, Raymond’s age on Marriage Certificate is 23 years (it was always said that Raymond had a TWIN sister but as I have been unable to trace his birth/place I cannot verify this) his father was DAVID COOPER (Deceased, no occupation given) from details on the marriage certificate – Raymond’s family was last known living in BRIDLINGTON, possibly running a Boarding House in the 1950's. Raymond died age 38 on 13th July 1959 in Sunderland, which is where he settled after his marriage. Any help with my search would be gratefully received. |

If his age (23) shown on his marriage certificate on 26/2/1944 was accurate then it is more likely that he was born in 1920 rather than 1921. Have you looked at www.freebmd.org.uk to check out the Raymond Cooper births for that year as well? |

Patience Flick...thank you for your efforts, yes I have already pinpointed the birth with Seal as mother and also located the marriage of Jessie to David, but they had 3 children Raymond was the 3rd child the other 2 died shortly after their birth, I have contacted the Cemetary Office as Raymond Cooper was buried my thought being they may have a full date of birth for the burial, I need sight of a birth cert that alone will confirm if there was a twin. |
