Hi All,
bit of a longshot - I am trying to trace a lady called Emily Ann Cox who gave birth to my grandmother - Gwendolen Emie Nunn Cox in July 1901 at 54 Manchester Street London. My grandmother was brought up by "Uncle" Walter Nunn, who we presume was Dad and had had an extra marital affair with Emily Ann. Walter was a chauffeur/head coachman for Sir David Lionel Salomons at the family estate in Southborough, Kent and the Salomons London House in Grosvenor Street W1, so would have been circulating in both areas. Emily gives no occupation, age details on my grandmother's birth certificate, her address is 54 Manchester Street, though I suspect it was a "lying-in" house where unmarried mums could go to give birth. Thanks Rebecca
