I am trying to find out any information about a Jesse Cox who lived at Gurney Villa,Thornywood in Nottingham. I believe he was born about 1863 or 1865. He was my grandfather and he had a sister called Lucy. He was married to my grandmother Blanche Maud Rough born 1883.

Have found this marriage - again Basford - what year did Blanche marry Jess?

This COULD be his first wife but just guessing

I have checked from 1912 thru to 1932 for a Cox/Rough marriage and nothing. From 1912 onwards i lists the maiden name!

I have also checked the spelling Ruff but nothing

I think maybe a census lookup for the 1891 and 1901 may help.

I have tried the other way round Rough etc and nothing the only one I have found is below BUT not married to a Jesse Cox and not in 1917 also not Nottingham as you can see it says Blanch M(?) Rough
