Evening June, No thats not my Grandad, he was born in 1910, had two siblings Minnie Elizabeth and George Henry, Leonard Joseph was the youngest, born in Leicester and lived at 77 friday street, i would guess he was born at Bond street Hospital, long knocked down, but funny enough i was born there.. his dad was George Henry and Mum Elizabeth cox nee gilson..

Michael do you have your grandfathers birth cert because i cant find his birth.

Sorry June, Leonard Joseph, or Joseph Leonard not sure which, because i hear he was called Joe, was born in 1906 not 1910 and died 1969 in Leicester, he should have been living at friday street in the parish of St Margarets by the 1911 census, and he would have been there with the two minnies (auntie and sister) he would be abt 5 i guess.

Thank you June, guess the date i have for Leonard is wrong 1906, 1897 is way out.. at least iam getting there(with help) what other site do you use? he was based in canada during the war with the RAF , and he had a fling whilst he was there... so my dad had a half brother he never knew about.. but my uncle got an e mail from him and they are meeting up later in the year.. thank you for all your help..

Michael i think the date you have 1906 is right, did you see the birth details i found but i think they have made a mistake on his age in 1911 but like i said i have no credits to confirm this.
