trying to find info about my grandfather ,born alfred george cox, 29/5/1918 in blaenavon gwent.he was better known as fred .he lived the early part of his life in the brymawr. area before he married pat devine of cardiff in the late thirties before going to france as a member of the south wales borderers ,he had three children two girls and a boy . after the war they moved to caerphilly where he worked as a miner at nantgarw pit and died in caerphilly in 1976 .his ashes were laid to rest with his parents at llanely hill cemetry near brynmawr .i know very little about him as i was quite young when he died and i know very little about his life before meeting my grandmother. |
