Member Since: August 2004 Posts: 65 Send Message	Seeking ANY info, no matter how small, on Charles William Cox and family. Charles was born in 1822 in Ipswich, Suffolk and was a butcher. He married Emma bn 1841, also in Ipswich, but we do not know what her maiden name is so would appreciate that. Charles and Emma had the following children- Eliza Ann bn 1862 Colchester, Essex Emily Sarah bn 1863 Colchester, Essex Frederick bn 1871 Colchester, Essex Kate bn 1874 Colchester, Essex Rose bn 1877 Woolwich, Kent Charles also had two more children- 1) Walter Cox, bn 1845 Ipswich. Do now know who his mother is but it can't be Emma, who is only 4 years older than him. Do not know what happened to him. 2) Florence Ethel Maud Cox, bn 1882, Deptford, Kent. This is my husband's grandmother and we thought she was the daughter of Emma as Emma is with Charles on the 1881 census where Florence was later born. Received Florence's birth certificate this morning to discover her mother is actually 'Sophia Cox formerley Durrant' so would appreciate any info on Sophia too please.
