Is anyone researching Virginia, USA in the 19th century that has an Ann Cox in their ancestry? My grandfather, Henry William Cox (b. Fairford, Gloucs. in 1874) had a sister Ann, born 1855 in either her mother Esther's birthplace of Kingsclere, Hants (1861 census) or Fairford (1871 census, and more likely). On marriage - husband's name unknown to our present family- Ann emigrated to Virgina. This would presumably have been some time around or after 1875. |
