I don't know if anyone can but but my gg grandad was James Cox 1818 Croydon Surrey. I can find him in 1861 - 1881 census'. He was a Coachman and Horseman. He lived in 1861 Kent, 1871 Croydon and 1881 Marylebone London. He married Margaret b 1830 Cork Ireland. (cannot find a marriage - poss in Ireland). I can't tie up anything in 1841 or 51.
They had 5 children Mary Byrne Cox abt 1859 (Gibtalter), Edward 1866 (Kent) Henry 1863 (Kent) Thomas 1858 (Kingston - 1 census says United States but could be Surrey) and James 1850(Waterford Ireland). Mary was my g grandmother but can't tie anything in for sure with her brothers.
Because theres a 8 year gap between James1850 and Thomas 1858 maybe James (1818) was married previously. As I can't find him on earlier census' can't be sure.

Has anyone any ideas

Thanks Diane
