I'm trying to find my grandmother Annie Davies (b. 1896/7, d. 1957 Ilford, Essex). May have had siblings 'Mill' and John. Married Henry O'Malley April 1917 West Ham - 7 children. Anyone out there with a match t this presumably Welsh family?

Davies Annie O'Malley W.Ham 4a 311
O'Malley Henry D Davies W.Ham 4a 311

The district W.Ham is an alternative name for West Ham and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Essex and Greater London;

her marriage cert will give parents and where from,you need the cert as there are hundreds of annies,once you have her fathers name you can look on the 1901 census for her

on the 1911 census there is an Annie born 1898 with father David in west ham perhaps it would be worth you having a look?

Michael, My family is also Davies and all birth, marriage & death certificates for them are W.Ham. This covers quite a large area, as in our case all the events took place in Walthamstow, East London. Also, your Davies may not be Welsh - I cannot find any Welsh connection with my family - all East End London. I also find that the censuses sometimes list the Davies entries as Davis, and I have also found the same discrepancy on some official certificates

I cannot find any link with your Davies's, but thought these tips might help. Good luck with your search.

P.s. I have an Amelia Davies who was known as Mill or Min (not related to yours) so your Mill might not be a Millicent.
