	i am trying to trace my wifes family.father thomas idwal davies b 10/02/1908 in gilfach.sub district gelligaer.county of glamorgan.his father david davies.mother elizabeth davies formerly bevan.lived in mountain ash cottage gilfach.can anyone help me trace back any further please.

	For info Are these places near each other? Gilfach is the small district that lies between Bargoed and Pengam, situated in the Caerphilly county borough, 7 miles north of Caerphilly, within the historic boundaries of Glamorgan, Wales. The name Gilfach is derived from the Welsh words cil (nook) and bach (small). Gelligaer is a village and parish in the County Borough of Caerphilly, Wales, in the Rhymney River valley.
