My husbands gran was born in September 1904, Annie Davies. Her father was killed when she was a little girl in Newbridge on Wye by a horse. He was buried at the chapel in Newbridge, no stone erected. The family moved then to Hafod Fraith in Llangurig. Annie married approx 1938 a Walter Griffiths. Her mother then died approx 1970 and is beleived to be buried in Llangurig. I don't know Annies parents name and can find no records whatsoever. She did have a brother George born approx 1907 who never married. Where else can I look?
Thanks for any help this is truely driving me nuts!!!!

I know that Annie was born in Sep 1904, I am guessing at George being couple of years younger. Don't know of any middle name.
I just spoke to the people who live in the house in Newbridge. There is nothing old left in the house. She knew the story of the horse etc. She thought both children had moved there. Which implies neither born in Newbridge. (She couldn't remember the parents names!)

so george may be older then not younger?
are you certain he died in llanidloes in the 80s

and as you have annie davies date of birth 16/9/1904[saw your thing on rootsweb]
you could phone mach /newtown reg offices and ask them if they will check the registers for her and if they come back with a yes you can send them the cheque and sae to buy it.
first things first though,
get the marriage cert for her fathers name, then if you come back on this thread we may be able to narrow things down more.
davies/evans/griffiths/jones in wales = headaches!
