I am looking for any Davieses from the Stoke on trent area whose
middle name is Sambrook. John.

I have got one Sarah Sambrook Davies born 1892 Forden Shropshire
she was my grandfathers sister they moved to Stoke on trent before 1895
the year my grandfather was born. John.

Well ... if you do search at FreeBMD, you'll see one other birth in Forden dist. ;)

Yes i have got that one as well James Sambrook Davies.
His mothers maiden name was Sarah Sambrook the name
has been used as a middle name scince then.

There's actually just no way to do it. After 1911, only middle initials are recorded in the index. And the search-trees function here doesn't allow for middle names. But someone may see your post some day, if they search for Sambrook.


The James Sambrook Davies you seem to be referring to was born in Neath, 1868. Alfred Sambrook Davies was born in Forden, 1876. There are others in Neath as well. And one modern death:

Married in 1946. Huh. Wife had same surname as mother. There are two or three possible births to that marriage, none with middle initial S.

There are a couple of Neath births with given name Sambruck and a couple with middle name Sambruck.

I understand that you might not want to put her personal info on the boards, of course. Her parents' names and when/where they married, maybe? If you don't have access to Ancestry indexes, others of us can look for other births to the couple and send that info to you privately if they are people who may be living.
