Hi.

I am searching for a John Davies, born in 1912 I think as he was listed as 29 at the time of his marriage., although I do not know where. Family stories say he came from Wales. He married Mary Smailes in 1941, in Sunderland, while he was serving with the North Staffs Regiment. At the time of the marriage his father Albert, a steelworker, was deceased, and one witness was James Davies, possibly a brother.
A son was born in 1943, but they separated shortly afterwards and John remarried? and had another family. He died between 1979 and 1985, possibly in the Stoke on Trent area.

If you think you have any information please contact me.

This is info on a 'probable' living person Susan - I think Dee is probably already aware of it if the info is of her relative, however, I suspect any child born 2 years after the marriage would have the 'married' surname?

Perhaps you wouldn't mind deleting it please?

You could send it by pm if you think the info is required.

Thanks,
