Hi Fbg, the birth dates of john hatcher & alice are ok and Ada rings a bell ~ so I think we are on the right track, I've no idea when they married ~ it's the parents of Alice Louisa Davies that I cannot find ~ I'm just wondering if her family originated from 'Glamorgan' (your hint of a daughter Lily who seemed to have lived or was born there) ~ I am so stuck on this one, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, many grateful thanks for your kind help.
